Jack Harvey will return to the Indy 500 next season with Dreyer & Reinbold as the Briton returns to The Brickyard after competing this year.
Harvey will compete in the No. 24 INVST DRR Chevrolet entry in the 110th Running of the Indy 500 and stick with DRR after finishing 19th, two laps down.
He explained that continuity may be the key to taking a step forward as he returns for Harvey’s eighth attempt at the Indy 500 over his career.
He said via the IndyCar website: “My experience with DRR and INVST last year at the Indy 500 was brilliant. Consistency is so important in this sport, and the opportunity to return to Indianapolis with this group is incredible.
“I’m even more confident that we can compete for the win in the 2026 event. Having INVST continue as our primary is fantastic. I love their passion for and commitment to the biggest race in the world. We’re all ready.”
Jack Harvey needs a faultless run-up to the Indy 500
Harvey stepped away from full-time IndyCar racing this year, joining the FOX Sports IndyCar team and focusing solely on competing in the Indy 500.
The 32-year-old is yet to score a victory in IndyCar since making his debut in 2017, but his best result is third at the 2019 Sonsio Grand Prix on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
Next season’s calendar sees six rounds before the Indy 500 and, critically, a trip to Phoenix Raceway, which may make it more difficult for Harvey to make up lost ground.
Competing for victory may require the Briton to hit the ground running and avoid any incidents throughout practice and qualifying against full-season drivers.
Any setback would mean a significant loss in track time as the car needs to be quick over a single lap but manageable through traffic over the 200-lap race distance.
